Civil Rights Digital Library featured in AJC article
May 27, 2008 – 2:55 PMThe Atlanta Journal Constitution recently published an article highlighting the Civil Rights Digital Library, a project between the Media Archives, DLG, NGE, GALILEO, and folks in the Franklin College.
The Civil Rights Digital Library site (http://crdl.usg.edu) includes around 30 hours of raw footage of the Civil Rights movement from the WSB and WALB newsfilm collections from the Walter J. Brown Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection as well as records for civil rights resources available elsewhere. The team in the Franklin College has created a companion site (http://www.civilrights.uga.edu/) on the movement in Georgia for use by students and educators.
